Reason overview
Reason is an integrated software music recording and production studio with audio recording, million-dollar mixing and EQs, and all the instruments, sounds, and effects you could ever dream of for writing, recording, remixing, and producing great-sounding tracks.
Also new are several effect devices that can be inserted directly into instruments or onto tracks. 'Pulveriser' allows users to compress, distort, filter, and modulate their sounds, while "The Echo" creates, as its name suggests, a stereo echo with adjustable delay, feedback, color, and modulation. "Alligator" is a rhythmic texturing tool that makes it possible to add rhythm and accents to synth sounds and change percussion loops. Users can also get pitch-perfect vocals using the new "Neptune" pitch adjuster.

Bug fixes
- Importing audio with the setting "Import as is, disable stretch" no longer affects pitch if sample rate differs in samples and song
- Fixed an issue where an imported audio clip would be truncated after having changed the Setting "Import as is, enable stretch on clip"
- Plugin Delay Compensation did not work when a plugin with latency was placed after an Instrument inside a Combinator
- Fixed a bug where audio in certain edge cases could get out of sync
- Fixed a MIDI Note Chase issue where Note Chase didn't work when unmuting tracks or clips
- Refactoring of the audio/waveform memory usage which could cause the audio and waveform to disappear when zooming in and out in the sequencer
- Reason could crash when adding a Send effect while automating Send ON/OFF
- Fixed an issue where Reason crashed when deleting certain VST plugins
- Fixed an issue where Reason could crash when using Cut on a Mixer channel
- Master Insert Bypass no longer defaults to Off in some Template Songs
- Fixed a bug where some devices were incorrectly where treated like instrument devices
- The clip name font on a dark looped clip is now white on all loop instances
- Transport track icon is now white when a darker color is applied to the track
- Fixed a bug where it was not possible to rename Combinator controls or tape labels on devices in Reason Rack plugin on Mac
- Marquee-selection of velocity bars now only affects velocity handles within the selected frame
- Adding tracks to Track Folder now scrolls the Track Folder into view
- The "Help" button in Settings now links to the Reason 14 manual
- Fixed a bug in Reason Rack plugin where the tooltips were misaligned when the Devices/Browser tab was open
- Fixed a graphical glitch where a MIDI note in an adjacent clip could move temporarily when moving another note into that clip
- Fixed a bug which prevented Devices to be dragged into the Sequencer or to Folder tracks when the Mixer was opened but minimized
- Fixed a browse issue where a list of Kong patches (complete drum kits) were presented instead of Drum samples after having clicked on Browse Drum Patch button
- Fixed a Rack Extension hosting bug where widget visibility was not consistently updated when flipping Rack and folding/unfolding Device

Five years after Apple Silicon, aka M-Series, aka ARM Macs arrive, it's still INTEL only. For $499. Come on! 😕 - - Dealing with that laziness, the alternative to full purchase price is $20 a month subscription, first month at $1.

This DAW / music app is amazing! What an incredible music making playground to work with. I have found Reason much easier to learn and grow with than other DAWs. And, using Reason's rack system feels more natural (life-like) than using VST plugins. While working with / playing with Reason the hours pass so quickly cuz it's so much fun and the sounds created... just love it! To anyone wanting to try it, there's a low cost entry level on their website (plus FREE demo's too). I didn't last long on the Intro before upgrading to Suite, so I could have all the instruments and effects to work with. Careful folks, because this is a really addictive music app! :)

This Software has still the same problem right from v1: The Sound output is dreadful. Its thin. Whatever fx's, tricks and add-ons are been used for finishing master tune, ones your bounce down the track in Reason, the result is always notable - Thin. One way to push that to an better sound is the ReWire option with an DAW, like Logic, Live or even GarageBand. It is CPU and RAM demanding. Reason is an "cheap" gadget for "so to be musician" , so the illusion is build in. A great tool to learn, BUT stay away for any serious production with it. Pointless overpriced software.
